These scythes bear distinctive markings of the Four Horsemen. Known as the Chaos Fangs, the scythes reap a heavy toll amongst any anemies foolish enough to challenge Death. In many ways, the Chaos Fangs resemble the weapon of the Horseman War--the infamously deadly Chaoseater.
How to obtain: By beating Darksiders 1 and then speaking to Muria in Tri-Petra

Scythes forged from the very steel used to create the Guardian. The blades are engraved with ancient Maker runes, signifying their quality and are sharp enough to cut through stone.

Forged in the darkest vaults of Hell by Demon master smiths, the Shadow of Death double scythes sap the arcane energy from those its jagged edges touch, piercing them with the icy chill of the grave.

Found within the very belly of the beast, these scythe blades have festered for a millennia within Bheithir. The enchanted blades fused themselves with her own attributes, creating a weapon of legendary status. Its previous owner is unknown, but the blade's craftsmanship is unequaled, allowing it to sever with the utmost precision and savagery, whilst burning flesh from bone.

Black Demise is a weapon with a long and bloody history amongst the demon lords. Some legends claim that the unnatural rites used to create the weapon have imbued it with a limited form of sentience. Bound with unholy blazing runes of power, Black Demise seizes the inner strength of every opponent and adds it to that of its wielder.
How to obtain: Reward for finding the secret area on Level 5 of the Soul Arbiter's Maze

Fashioned by unknown but truly pragmatic mind. Goldbringer robs all those it strikes not only of their life, but of their coin. Engraved on the blade is the familiar wisdom: "To the Victor Go the Spoils."

Forged in a blast furnace by the demon lord Belial, the Demonflame Renders flare with hellish heat and flame that causes enemies to explode into flames with every strike. Originally meant to serve as a gift to secure favors from Lilith, the Renders were stolen by one of Belial's many rivals... or so he claimed. Whatever the truth, the scythes disappeared for an age, lost or secreted away. The merchant Ostegoth claims that the scythes are loose, seeking out a new and more worthy owner - perhaps these weapons are possessed of a similar hubris to the Demon Lord who created them.
How to obtain: Find it in The Black Stone: East Wing (Past time)

Legend states that Guillotine was forged by the makers, a masterwork weapon used in many bloody wars. The craftsmanship of this blade unerringly guides the wielder's attacks to strike blows of exquisite carnage.

Each hit has a chance to add a random effect (Fire, knockback, etc)
These weapons were forged for the hand of a swashbuckling rogue who relied more upon luck than his own skills at arms. Bound within each blade is the essence of a trickster spirit, surging with an erratic and unpredictable power when wielded in battle. Each strike has a chance to channel a random elemental effect into its victim, or simply blast him back with a wave of mischievous force.

The more Arcane power you have, the stronger these scythes become. Also, each hit has a chance to reduce the strength of the enemy
The Barbed Defilers are a pair of scythes once carried by a dead lord in service to the Deposed King, Argul. The Dead Lord's name and his fate are lost and unknown, even to the scribes of the Ivory Citadel. The Barbed defilers absorbed some of the strange energies within the far reaches of the Abyss. Thus, the blades defile any foe they strike, weakening the enemy. Similarly, the scythes increase in based on the arcane strength of their wielder.
How to obtain: Reward for completing the 75th wave in The Crucible

Static Shock:
Each hit curse the enemy that receives some lightning damage over time (DOT). Also the effect will jump to another nearby enemy (if close enough)
This scythe once belonged to an angel, a messenger tasked with traveling through countless realms. The messenger captured the spirit of a mighty storm within her weapon, channelling the strength of the tempest as a conduit to strike down her foes with swift lightning. In the chaos of the End War, the unknown messenger has vanished, and her weapon has fallen to await a new wielder.
How to obtain: Reward (Second play through only) for completing the side quest The Bloodless given by Draven (Quest only available with the Death Rides DLC)
